The Major League Baseball All Star game will take place this year on July 14th in St. Louis Missouri. Those that play in the All Star game are voted on by fans, players, coaches, and managers. Depending on which team wins the game, their league will have the home field advantage for the upcoming World Series.
At the All Star game there is an MVP Award that is given out. It was originally called the Arch Ward Memorial Award in 1962 to the Commissioner’s Trophy in 1970, to the Ted Williams Most Valuable Player Award in 2002, named after Ted Williams, a former Boston Red Sox player.
